To schedule your initial appointment, you will need to fill out the Connection Request Form. After that, we will reach out to schedule a 15-minute consultation call, in which we will seek to find out if the client and the counselor are a good fit, and we will schedule the first appointment after that.

Solus Counseling LLC does not use licensed professionals. Your counselor is well trained in the use of Scripture in the context of Christian counseling. Rev. John Kim is not operating under licensure in the state of Georgia but works under licensure exception Georgia Code 43-10A-7 (11). He is not able to provide clinical diagnoses.

Solus Counseling LLC does not bill to your insurance. However, we will work together to find the right payment option that works for you. Scholarships and reduced rates are available and effective for the first 10 counseling sessions, and after that, we will work with you to reassess your needs. We seek to not turn away anyone due to financial reasons. Please feel free to inquire about scholarships during your initial consultation.

Each session is typically 60 minutes.

You can prepare for a counseling session by reflecting on your thoughts and feelings, identifying specific issues or goals you'd like to address, and being open to sharing and participating in the process. You can also feel free to process these thoughts together with your counselor during your session.

Yes. While we would prefer the opportunity to work with you in person, remote counseling is an alternative available for those who cannot meet in person.

We ask that you give at least 24 hour notice for cancellations. If you fail to give us a 24-hour notice, we would kindly ask you to gift your fee as a donation to our scholarship fund.
